resemblances - Bruno Ferrero

A missionary nun, caring for the wounds were thoroughly repugnant a leper. He did his work, smiling and chatting with the patient, like the most natural thing in the world. At one point he asked the patient:
"Do you believe in God?".
The poor man looked at her a long time and then replied:
"Yes, I now believe in God."
A missionary traveling on a fast train and the Japanese occupied the time praying the breviary open. She slipped on the floor is shaking a little image of the Madonna.
A child sitting in front of the missionary bent down and picked up the image.
Funny how all the children, before returning it looked.
"Who is this lovely lady?" Asked the missionary.
'E' ... my mother, "replied the priest, after a moment's hesitation.
The child looked at him, then about the image.
"You do not look like much," he said.
The missionary smiled: "And yet, I assure you that all my life I try to resemble, at least a bit '."
