You are my Lord - Rabindranath Tagore

While unconscious ferivo
you discovered that you were beside me. Struggling in vain against

you felt that you were you my Lord.
robbing my tribute
your honor I could grow my debt to you.
swam against the tide of your life
just to feel the power of your love.

To hide from you I turned off my light, but thou hast
surprised with the stars.

resemblances - Bruno Ferrero

A missionary nun, caring for the wounds were thoroughly repugnant a leper. He did his work, smiling and chatting with the patient, like the most natural thing in the world. At one point he asked the patient:
"Do you believe in God?".
The poor man looked at her a long time and then replied:
"Yes, I now believe in God."
A missionary traveling on a fast train and the Japanese occupied the time praying the breviary open. She slipped on the floor is shaking a little image of the Madonna.
A child sitting in front of the missionary bent down and picked up the image.
Funny how all the children, before returning it looked.
"Who is this lovely lady?" Asked the missionary.
'E' ... my mother, "replied the priest, after a moment's hesitation.
The child looked at him, then about the image.
"You do not look like much," he said.
The missionary smiled: "And yet, I assure you that all my life I try to resemble, at least a bit '."
You, who look like?

O God, send us crazy!! - Louis Joseph Lebret

We miss crazy, Lord,
but those who know how to love
by deeds and not words,
those that are fully available to the next.

We miss crazy, Lord,
lacking daring, passionate,
people can jump
insecure in a vacuum, unknown
and deeper each day of poverty;
those who do not use next to their purposes.

We miss those crazy, oh my God!
Matti in the present,
love with a simple life,
liberators of the poor,
peace-loving,
free compromises
determined not to betray,
despising their comfort
or life,
totally decided to self-denial,
able to accept all types of assignments,
go to any place of obedience,
and at the same time free, obedient,
spontaneous and tenacious
cheerful, sweet and strong.

Give us this kind of crazy,
O my Lord!

(Louis Joseph Lebret)

Louis-Joseph Lebret was born in Minihic, near Saint- Malo, Brittany, 26 June 1897. He took part in the First World War as a naval officer. Stretch Your Ball Sack

We Roads (1938) - Madeleine Delbrel

There are places where the Spirit blows,
but there is a Spirit blowing in all places.

There are people that God takes them and puts them aside.
But there another that he left the multitude,
not "retreat from the world."
E 'ordinary people doing a job,
who has a family living an ordinary life or ordinary bachelor.
ordinary people who have illnesses, deaths ordinary.
People who have an ordinary house, ordinary clothes.
And 'the people of ordinary life.
people you meet in any way.
They love their door that opens onto the street,
as their brethren in the world like the invisible door
that has finally locked behind them.
We, people in the street, we believe with all our strength
that this road, this world where God has placed us
is for us the place of our holiness.
We believe that we lack anything necessary,
this necessary because if we miss God we would have already given.

Decision - Ignacio Larrañaga

O Christ.
I entered the enclosure of darkness, and darkness
hurt me,
hurt me, hurt me.

I miss you.
I know that you are in me.
But are you silent,
quiet
waiting for my decision.

You know ...
I can not live without you.
Life without you,
is empty, meaningless, without
colors.
and distress.
O Christ,
not remain silent.

Save me!

O God, madly in love! - St. Catherine of Siena

O God, madly in love!
not enough incarnate, but didst
even die!
I see that you forced your mercy
to give even more to the man,
leaving yourself in food.
And so we are weak we have comfort, forgetful

ignorant and we do not lose the memory of your benefits.
Here, you give your food every day man, making you

present in the Eucharist and in the mysterious body of your church.
Who did this?
Your mercy.

The identity of the Christian: live to serve - Mother Anna Maria Canopi

Living to serve, here is a really nice ideal for a Christian! Every genuine service, in fact, has its roots in the mystery of Christ to save us "although the form of God ... emptied himself, taking the form of a servant" (Phil. 2, 6-7). Jesus came to earth to teach us to serve. He is our model. During the Last Supper, after the washing of feet, said to his disciples:
"You know what I have done? You call me Master and Lord, and rightly so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another's feet. I have given you an example, because, as I did, you also should do. "(Jn 13, 12-15).
conformed to Christ means, therefore, in situations in which we live and work, being able to say spontaneously:" I came to serve, not to be served "(cf Mt 20:28)," being that is always available for the good of others, "rather," be good for others. "
The difference is not small: it is to go from doing something for the brothers, to be one person for another as Jesus is "to us.
This way of relating to God and neighbor brings to life a new dimension: you are in any state - consecrated or lay, alone or married, healthy or sick - again you have a mission, that of giving. And since the self-giving means being committed to an ongoing conversion to deny to themselves, those who live in the inner dimension avoids being in competition and rivalry with the brothers, not acting under the thrust of ambition and selfishness, escape the hostility, violence, aggression, with all the sad consequences which, unfortunately, will perform on the stage of this world. So, although apparently not occupies a place in society can be discerned, the Christian really helps to build the "civilization of love" where he lives is a presence of peace that spreads around him love and a spirit of communion, fosters collaboration and harmony to all levels, it becomes a leaven of righteousness and holiness.
Ideally, the service also involves other consequences. If you live in peace with others does not advance the rights themselves, rather it seeks to put in the perspective of "duty." Today we talk easily of "rights", but at least we think that if everyone has the right to be free, to have the necessary to live, that means that I have a duty to do what is needed for that person for his own good. Certainly it is an attitude to adopt each other, a shared responsibility. How important is reciprocity! However, as we are concerned, we must above all be concerned to do our duty, that is to serve others with love, for free, even if we do not receive from others in return. Indeed, that difference becomes apparent when, just then it's time to live the Gospel to the letter without following the mentality of the world.
In other words, it should be noted only the law of "give to receive, because our identity as men and Christians - if they want to be - is characterized by a surfeit of love, with which you do not do good to receive the return, but it does it for free, though, and always, without fear of "losing" because the good that you also always returns to its author: It is never against us. Indeed just as the others do not reciprocate, we earn more on the spiritual plane, and become more compliant, more similar to Christ. And this is the real gain: sanctity. Who does good has his reward, because it is occurring according to the plan of God Little by little, in his choices, is no longer a slave to a purely human and utilitarian, or worse, a slave to his passions, but rises to a nobler conception of life and spiritual, and acquire the ability to have authentic relationships and happy with everyone.
This is so important, especially in our time that, with the development of communications and also as a result of migration of peoples, those who dedicate themselves to others is often to be in contact with many people of other nationalities and also of different religions. It is a fine example of free open to all, every man deserves to be honored, loved, served, in every nation and whatever their faith.
When these meetings take place in a spirit of genuine warmth and humanity, strongly favors the formation of fraternal relations and peaceful, because the donated property raises other good. In a world dominated by violence, so quietly weaves a web of friendship, he says with facts that all men are indeed brothers, sons of one God, all moving towards a single goal. We are all poor and weak, but if we help the efforts of the walk can be tackled with greater confidence where one falls, another is ready to lift it, and when one is less courage, whoever is next for him becomes a ray of hope. This is also a service that we are called to each other. And it must do so with joyful willingness, knowing that we always beside us Jesus, our traveling companion. Indeed, he himself is the Way. Watching him, we can no longer be content to go only "to a certain point" because he did not stop up the hill of Calvary, but it has served humanity to rise up on the cross. From his example comes the strength to go beyond the "conveniences" human, accepting not only fatigue, but also the humiliation that often involves the service and accepted as moments of grace, to free us from the terrible sin of pride c'insidia that more often and also ruin the good we can do.
To serve others must be really small, humble, to know how to kneel down before them, put their feet. It is difficult, because our ego is hard to die, but in this sacrifice there is sadness, rather it derives its true joy. Jesus himself said: "It is more blessed to give than to receive," and the apostle Paul says: "God loves a cheerful giver." These are words of life to remember forever.
Who is the "servant" for the sake of Christ and his neighbor is happy and free to enjoy, together with all the treasure of the Kingdom of Heaven.
How would the world be if each of us every morning, proposing to put on Christ, taking on his thoughts and feelings to reproduce the works and if we were to put to work vigorously as good workers, saying: "For I serve is to reign: today I want to start living it. "

Give me, O Lord, spare wing - Don Tonino Bello

I want to thank you, Lord for the gift of life.
I read somewhere that men are angels with only one wing:
can only fly by embracing remaining.
Sometimes in moments of confidence I venture to think, Lord,
that you have only one wing,
the other you keep it hidden ...
perhaps to make me understand that you do not want to fly without me.
why you gave me life, that I was your flight companion.
Teach me to soar with you then why not live the life of drag,
is not torn,
not gnaw:
life is like a seagull surrender to the ecstasy of the wind
live and enjoy the adventure of freedom,
live and spread their wings,
the only wing with the confidence of those who know they have a flight in great partners like you.
But not enough to be able to fly with you, Lord:
You gave me the task of embracing his brother and help him fly.
I ask your forgiveness, then, for all the wings I have not helped to relax:
not make me spend more indifferent to his brother who has been with the wing,
the only one wing, inexorably entangled in the web of misery and loneliness and is now convinced they are no longer worthy to fly with you:
especially for this unfortunate brother Give me, O Lord, spare wing.

If the note said - Father Michel Michel Quoist

If the note says, is not a note that makes the music ...
there would be no symphonies
If the word says,
is not a word that can make a page ...
there would be no books
If the stone says,
is not a stone can raise a wall ...
there would be no houses
If a drop of water should say
not a drop of water that can be done the river ...
there would be no ocean
Unless a grain of wheat should say
is not a grain of wheat that can seed the field ...
there would be no bread
If the man says,
is not an act of love that can save mankind ...
there would never be neither justice nor peace,
or dignity or happiness in the land of men.
As the symphony needs of each note,
As the book needs of each word,
As the house needs every stone,
Like ' ocean needs every drop of water,
As the harvest needs of each grain,
All of humanity needs you, here where six, unique, and therefore irreplaceable.

Come night - Father David Maria Turoldo

Come night,
but in our heart is always night and then come
always, Lord.
Come on in silence,
we do not know what to say to us:
and therefore is always, Lord.
Come alone,
but each of us is ever alone: \u200b\u200b
and therefore is always, Lord.
Come, Son of peace, we
we do not know what the peace
and therefore is always, Lord.
Come free us, we are increasingly
slaves
So always come, Lord.
come to console us, we are increasingly
sad
and therefore is always, Lord.
Come find me,
we are increasingly lost:
and therefore is always, Lord.
Come, you who love us:
no one is in communion with his brother before they
is with thee, O Lord.
We are all away, lost,
nor do we know who we are, what we want.
Come, Lord. Always Come, Lord.

The eagle was thought a chicken - Anthony De Mello

Man found an eagle's egg and put it in the nest of a hen.
The egg hatched simultaneously with those of the eaglet hatched and grew along with the chicks.
Throughout his life the eagle did what the backyard chickens did, thinking of being one of them.
poking the ground looking for worms and insects, brood and shouting, shaking its wings, rising from the ground a few feet.
Years passed and the eagle grew very old.
One day he saw above him in the cloudless sky, a beautiful bird that soared, majestic and elegant in the midst of a strong air current, barely moving his strong golden wings.
The old eagle looked up, startled. "Who is that?" churches.
"It 's eagle, the king of birds," said his neighbor. "It belongs to the sky. But we belong to the earth, because we are chickens."
So the eagle lived and died like a chicken because he thought to be such.

Bring water everywhere peace - Don Tonino Bello

Who are the peacemakers? They are the technicians of the pipeline, the facilities of hydraulic networks and experts of the fittings. Are those that, by using several techniques, one study to bring the water of peace in the dense web of space and time, all the houses of men, the social fabric of the city, places where people flourish and aggregates cohabitation.
This is worth pointing out one thing. Water is one: that of peace. The management techniques, however, that the political mediation, are different. And many contractors are also pipelines, and rightly so. The important thing is that these techniques are standard, intended to serve man and do reach the water users.
without pollution.
If along the path of the poison is introduced, it is not serving the cause of peace.
without manipulating.
If chemicals are placed in the water, perhaps for good, but arising from its ideological approach, does not serve the cause of peace.
without losses.
If you open up holes along the pipe to inexperience or shallowness or lack of educational or technical defects of the bottom, you do not serve the cause of peace.
not detained.
If prevails in the technical assessment, and build pipelines so that they are favored interests, and the water, instead of becoming good of all, is made to stagnate for the irrigation of their fields , does not serve the cause of peace.
Without accaparrarsela.
If the experts of their pipelines are considered the masters of the water and not the ministers, the custodians of this good unimpeachable which they should feel only channelers, not serving the cause of peace.
have it without paying.
If the holders of the water system they use their instruments to ration the doses cunningly and enslave the people taking her thirst, does not serve the cause of peace. It serves the cause of peace when the passionate commitment of political will directed to that cities are flooded of Justice, the houses are submerged by the rivers of righteousness and the roads give way under a 'flood of solidarity, according to that wonderful verse from the prophet Amos "Make the right flow as spring water, and righteousness like a river always in full "(Am 5:24).
C oraggio then!
Despite this fragmented experience of peace, bet on it means betting man.
New fact about the Man.
On Jesus Christ: He is our Peace. He did not disappoint! "
